After originally shooting some trail running using myself as the model in a recent post, I was able to find an athlete to come out and shoot. We were delayed by rainy weather for a bit but we finally got a nice window of sunshine.

My athlete was Meaghan Sutter, a local fitness industry leader, the owner of Peak Training, and outdoor adventure enthusiast. A short climb through a forest led us to a nice opening with views of the surrounding valley and nearby Mount Currie.

As the light receded behind a nearby peak and the shadows got longer we utilized a nice open area to showcase her running. Meaghan was willing to do all the back and forth I asked of her to get the desired images.

As the size and weight of my camera bag limits some running ability, the next step for me is dialling in a lightweight set up I can bring on longer runs to capture trail running images on adventures further into the mountains.
